SAP Virsa is an audit tools for SAP R/3 Application. SAP Virsa is part of the solution for SAP Governance, Risk and Control. The Virsa system Inc is founded in 1996, became the global leader in cross-enterprise solutions for governance, risk, and compliance management. Virsa provides the only solutions that dramatically simplify compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, by enabling customers to embed automated control design, testing, and enforcement directly into their business processes. The result is significantly lower cost, reduced risk, and increased efficiency.
When SAP bought VIRSA in 2006 there were more than 300 enterprise customers globally and more than 2.5 million end-users. Virsa has the largest installed base in the GRC and Security sector.
In the past year the SAP customer base has been quick to take advantage of the new VIRSA functionality and there are currently many active projects. In the coming months we expect to see SAP talk about its GRC Access tools and no longer refer to the Virsa suite in its marketing. Until the market has become familiar with this idea we will talk about SAP GRC Access tools and VIRSA synonymously.
